“Uber for Lottie?”
The following poem is written based on my experiences from the Uber rides I participated in as the passenger on July 16th, 2025, in Portugal.
Who do you think you are?
Although I’m grateful to be in your car,
I’m not sure we will get very far
Although it makes me aware of feeling alive,
Preposterous is the word I would use to describe your style of drive
Whether Australian dollars or euros are the cost,
When you suggest visiting me in Australia, my trust in you is lost
I don’t know the international road rules,
But I know not to play oncoming cars for fools
Yes, sir, that was a curb you hit,
God help you if you’re expecting a tip.
